On Tuesday afternoon, dozens of children at a community center in Treme ran inside screaming that a lady outside had a gun.  The woman – who according to several witnesses announced that she was a New Orleans police officer – had come to the Treme Community Center to pick up a 7-year-old nephew and, for reasons unknown, became enraged at the driver of the car in front of her in the pickup line, witnesses said.  Numerous witnesses said the woman relentlessly honked her car horn. As the situation escalated, she yelled expletives at the other driver and got halfway out of her car and brandished a gun, they said. At that point one of the witnesses called 911, but several people said the responding officer spoke privately with the angry woman, then said loudly as the two walked together that she should’ve shot a man who told her to put her gun down because children were present, witnesses said.

Fine folks there at the N.O.P.D. huh?  Terrorizing and beating citizens to force them to turn over their own guns in a time of disaster (clicky if you don’t belive me) and brandishing them on school property to intimidate people to get out of their way.  This is the classic “Only Ones”.  School Bus Nagin will take no action, the toady police chief will take no action.  Remember this picture of the two morons?

F’in imbeciles.  Nice going New Orleans, keep electing this joke and the fools he surrounds himself with.  Real professionals, statesmen, leaders in that picture huh?  It’s easy to see where the jackboot in this article gets the license to act like a storm trooper.  She’s lucky someone didn’t pop her ass right there in the parking lot.  You show me yours I’ll show you mine.

Police Department spokesman Bob Young confirmed that a ranking officer responded from the 1st District, but Young said the ranking officer ruled the incident “unfounded” because the officer couldn’t find the person who’d dialed 911.

Whatever Bob…  you have a lot of credibility.  Let’s see what the witnesses say?

The man who called 911, longtime Treme Center employee Belden “Noonie” Batiste, said the responding officer did not appear interested in his account.  “It’s that buddy system. How can children watch that and not develop a distaste for people in uniform?” said Jerome Smith, who has run the center’s Tamborine and Fan summer camp for nearly 40 years. “This ugly scene could have escalated to a serious tragedy at our doorstep.”

Of course they aren’t interested, they are the “Only Ones”.  Just a little cover up…nothing to see here…high five!

Superintendent Warren Riley says Ashley Terry has been suspended. Tonight, other officers are being investigated too.  Witnesses at the Treme Community Center called police after the fight. Riley says at least two police officers showed up. Riley says the Public Integrity Bureau is investigating what some interpret as an attempted cover up.  “If the officer or officers who responded failed to write a report or take appropriate action, we will take appropriate action,” he said.

Yeah right Warren.  Like you really took action on the gun grab…lying piece of garbage.  You need to be out chalking tires and writing parking tickets.
