More common sense gun laws would have saved his life...

This never happened, not in Gun-Free Chi-Town.

June 3, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) — Two men accused of killing a Chicago police officer were ordered held without bail Wednesday.  Wednesday’s bond hearing was packed with officers from the 7th District where Alejandro Valadez worked the streets of Englewood.  Prosecutors described both suspects as reputed gang members who were out to get revenge when they allegedly shot Valadez.  Emotions were high in court as their family members fought back tears.

Shot him with what?  No handguns in Chicago, just ask Reichsmarshall Dailey.

Within minutes of the shooting early Monday morning, police found a car parked nearby. On Wednesday in court, prosecutors said three guns were found inside it — a 40-caliber handgun, a 357 revolver and a 9 millimeter carbine rifle in the trunk.

Again…couldn’t have happened.  “Carbine”!?  What the hell is a carbine?  I think the proper term is “assault weapon” isn’t it?  Chicago 7 needs to get with the program.

You know it’s coming don’t  you?  I can’t disappoint you either…

Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis joined Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez after the bond hearing. Both called the shooting of Valadez, a three-year member of the Chicago Police Department, a wakeup call for common sense gun laws.

Yes common sense gun laws are the answer.  What other gun laws do they need in Chicago?  You can’t have one now?  Fair question but you aren’t progressive enough if you don’t know the answer…the answer is that there needs to be no guns anywhere then Chi-town wouldn’t be victimized by such.  Because you see…your ownership of handguns is the problem, not say Shawn Gaston…

Nevermind this…the problem is not enough common sense gun laws..

Alvarez says last month, Illinois lawmakers turned down a bill her office had drafted that targeted known gang members and would have kept Gaston behind bars.

Please pay no attention to what we actually do…just listen to our call for more common sense gun laws

Police say Gaston and Walker are both convicted felons. In fact, Gaston has been arrested at least 13 times on charges including robbery and assault.

Oh..yeah the guns are the problem here…

Nice guys finish dead

Many of the store’s regular customers gathered near the crime scene Wednesday morning to talk about the owner. If authorities confirm that he is one of the victims, they said, it would be a great loss.  “He’s a real nice guy,” said Daniel Martinez.

And never lose sight of the fact that the Brady Bunch and the rest of the gun grabbing crowd is happier that they are dead than if they had been properly equipped to defend themselves.

story here

Investigators don’t know how many people may have been involved in the robbery, said Dan Arnold, a homicide investigator with the Houston Police Department.  Arnold said it appears that the victims struggled. Merchandise stands had been toppled and other items were strewn around the store in disarray.  Several shots were fired, and it doesn’t appear that the victims were armed. No weapons were found.

Sucks doesn’t it?  Society’s scum win again because the decent people don’t do what they can.  Perhaps we can find a happy ending story to balance this one.

See this picture?  Contrary to the “let the police handle it crowd”.  This is what police do…they come clean up the mess after you’re dead.  They put up yellow tape, take pictures and eventually will catch the killers…all of little help to you when the thugs come for you.

Give them more…

story here

A 42-year-old unemployed Kendall man with an extensive criminal history is now accused of being the notorious “Kendall rapist,” the person who terrorized and humiliated at least 18 girls and women nearly two decades ago…

Ah serial rapists, these are those icky rapists that don’t exist, who the gun nut types trump up to scare everyone…remember?

In many of the cases, victims were assaulted at night or early in the morning. They were often followed while walking, grabbed from behind and their attacker either said he had or had a gun or knife with him. Many of the victims were ordered to take their clothes off and were dragged into wooded or more secluded areas. They were often robbed of jewelry, cash and purses before they were raped.

Cell phones?  Whistles?  Your car keys held as a weapon?  I see no mention of this???  I thought if you just give them what they want everything is fine?

And this thinking is priceless…this thinking is why there are victims…

Meanwhile, back at his neighborhood, residents said they could not believe Rivera had been living next door. “It’s very bad,” said Marcia Kava. “I did not expect to have that person around.”

You see they don’t really exist do they?  Just intentional contrivances of the right-wing gun nut community…

Give them what they want…

it’s always the answer.  After you give it to them, you trust them to do the right thing.

Police said a man who had just crashed an SUV ran across the parking lot and found the car with the woman and two children inside.  The woman was able to get one of the children out of the vehicle, but the man drove away with the 5-year-old boy in the car, police said.

“(He) jumped in the car, slapped my mom around, told her to get out of the car before he killed her. My mom got out of the car. She told them, ‘Let me grab the kid.’ And he just took off in the car, with the kid in the car. Supposedly about 2 miles down the road, from what I hear, he dumped the child out the window in the middle of the street,” said Oreste Sosa, the boy’s uncle.

Just remember, give them what they want, don’t resist, don’t make them angry…..feel their pain.

Stunning…

I’m totally dumbfounded at this idiocy…this man teaches children…

See Snowflakes here

I can’t think of anything snarky to say…just overwhelming idiocy.

The man is a high school history teacher and doesn’t understand the concept of Federal law vs. State law…

Keep those guns off campus!

story here

(CNN) — A six-hour lockdown prompted by a fatal shooting near a Virginia campus was lifted as police continued a search for the gunman.  Students at Radford University southwest of Roanoke were told to lock their doors and stay inside early Friday, after a man was fatally shot in the chest in a residential area a couple of blocks away.

I guess you are relying on your ability to hide during the lockdown  huh?  If you weren’t a champion hide n seek player at age 9 I guess you are in big trouble.

Just to make sure we have the Radford University Student Code of Conduct….

45. Weapons

The unauthorized use, possession or storage of firearms, ammunition, weapons or realistic replicas of weapons on Radford University Property. Firearms are defined as any weapon that fires projectiles. Weapons include any object or substance designed or used to inflict a wound, cause injury or incapacitate. Paintball guns may not be used or stored on Radford University property without prior approval from the Office of the Dean of Students.

Yep, there it is.  Trust me, you aren’t authorized…, the only ones are the only ones authorized, You aren’t allowed to have a replica of a chance either…I know I’d feel a whole lot better if I were forcibly disarmed while a gunman roams the area…this is a knee slapper here….

A spokesman for Radford University police told CNN that the shooter had not been captured and that investigators believed that neither the victim nor the gunman were students.  He would not explain why police believed the campus was safe.

Yes he’s probably still out there…but trust us you’re safe…  This is what they tell you in the macro sense of society as well.  There are plenty of  maniacs out there, but trust us…you’re safe…even though we have no obligation to ensure your particular personal safety.  And in several places they tell you this and also tell you…”and oh by the way you cannot have a handgun either…”  Say at like Radford University.

UPDATE:  You know I wrote the “hide ‘n seek” champion stuff this morning, then all hell breaks loose in Binghamton, N.Y.  Low and behold the hide and seek thing was prophetic…

link here from Yahoo News

Police heard no gunfire after they arrived but waited for about an hour before entering the building to make sure it was safe for officers. They then spent two hours searching the building.

No, I’m not making it up….you really did have to be a hide ‘n seek champion to survive…the police get there and then wait an hour before going in to the building?  What the hell?  Yet we should stay disarmed and call 911??  No I don’t want officers gunned down…but isn’t that their job to go in and stop the killing with some more killing?  I don’t ever want to hear the crap from the anti’s and other pants wetters about leaving things to the police…

T.S.A. Jackboots…

they are there for our safety?  Keep in mind, no recorder, this disappears and the liars at TSA deny everything…

worth a listen…

part 2

part 3

And people think I’m overreacting when I had a key chain taken away from me…yes a keychain…I wonder which lunkhead at TSA, DEA, FBI or local P.D. or whoever finally had the oh shit moment that we have no basis to hold him…?

Hopefully the hospital

Posted in Wish they were dead on April 1, 2009 by Daggett

made everyone safe by banning CHL’s, nothing bad ever happens in a parking garage.  More evidence that we don’t need that silly parking lot bill in Texas either…

story here

At Foundation Surgical Hospital on the West Loop near Westpark, it seems now the security guards are ever present, especially in the parking garage. But early Saturday morning, no one was there to help as a woman went from hospital employee to brutal crime victim.

Imagine that…the police not present to stop a crime…oh wait that is not their job is it?  I see no mention here of a whistle and a cell phone either.

According to Bellaire police, the woman was just getting to work around 6:30am. She parked her car and was gathering her things when all of the sudden, two males were at her window and wanted in.   “They began to hit her window with an unknown object. She doesn’t know what it was, a pipe or a bat or what it was,” said Leal. “After about three or four attempts, the window actually shattered.”

Give them what they want, that takes care of violent assaults and robberies…

“They did this for her purse,” said Lt. Michael Leal with the Bellaire Police Department. “You know what are they going to do next time.”

They got the purse…why didn’t that solve everything?   Violent attackers never want more than your purse or wallet…

Police think the robbers followed their victim into the garage, targeting her because she was female, was alone and it was still dark. It’s a wake up call for Torie Brown, who works nearby.   “I’m going to have to be more careful, very careful watching my surroundings,” she said.

How awake is Torie?  We’ll never know…awake enough to get the proper tools to defend herself?  Doubtful…  I’d like to know if the garage was posted.  If it was do  you think the police comment would read…”Police think the robbers targeted the victim because she was in a gun free zone, and the robbers knew she would be unable to properly defend herself from the assault….”  I doubt it too…

And just a reminder to be alert for April Cage.   “I watch my surroundings everywhere,” she said. “I go. I don’t get on my phone and I always have my keys in my hand before I get in the car.”

It’s a good thing April is doing all she can isn’t it?  Why does she want to be off the cell phone???  Isn’t it the key to personal protection?

Nothing bad happens in broad daylight

particularly in nice neighborhoods.  Look on the bright side, it was a happy ending for the Brady crowd.

story here

Deputies are hoping someone saw something. The victim’s elderly boyfriend found her stabbed to death at a home on Treaschwig in northeast Harris County Saturday.   Sheriff’s deputies say the crime happened in the middle of the afternoon along a very busy road. They are looking for anyone who may have seen something that could lead them to the killer.

Apparently 911 and a whistle didn’t save her?  How could that be?

Sheriff’s deputies say the 66-year-old woman was found dead in her bedroom and they believe she died of multiple stab wounds. The brutal crime is disturbing to neighbors along Treaschwig Road.

Are the neighbors disturbed enough to take some action?

Investigators say there were signs of a struggle inside the home. They are not sure if the suspect may have forced his way inside. While deputies are looking for any witnesses who may have some kind of clue, neighbors are certainly looking over their shoulders.

If you have time to struggle, you have time to shoot them.  It doesn’t do a lot of good to look over your shoulder if you aren’t prepared to deal with what is coming up behind you.

“I will look to be more safe and stuff,” Duran said.

Really?  How?  Just curious…and stuff…

You probably haven’t heard…

the guy that killed four Oakland police officers…

OAKLAND, Calif. — Four Oakland, Calif., police officers were shot to death in two separate incidents involving one suspect near the Eastmont police substation Saturday afternoon, law enforcement sources said.  The first shooting happened in the 7400 block of MacArthur Boulevard about 1:16 p.m. PDT when two motorcycle officers were wounded. What led to the shooting was not immediately known.  About 3:20 p.m., two more police officers were hit in an exchange of gunfire with the suspect while trying to take him into custody in the 2700 block of 74th Avenue. That suspect was shot and killed.

Well, he’s a hero!

You also may not have heard what is really to blame here…

In response to the fatal shootings of four Oakland police officers over the weekend, two Bay Area politicians today announced plans to introduce legislation that would create a system for regulating and tracking assault weapon magazines in California.   The announcement by state Sen. Loni Hancock, D-Berkeley, and Assemblyman Sandre Swanson, D-Oakland, comes four days after a wanted parolee gunned down four Oakland officers, two allegedly with an AK-47.
